Grievance Officer
Last updated 30 August 2026
TEA is an intermediary under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We publish a named contact so that anyone — user or not — can raise a complaint about content on this platform and get a response.
Designated Grievance Officer
Officer details are not configured for this deployment. Set
GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_NAME and GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_EMAIL before
going live — publishing this contact is a legal requirement, not an optional field.
What to include
So we can act quickly, please send us the link to the post or comment, what the problem is, and — if the content is about you — a line confirming that. You do not need an account to complain, and you do not need to reveal your identity publicly. Anything you send goes only to the officer above and our moderators.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge every complaint within 36 hours of receiving it.
- We resolve it within 15 days, and tell you what we decided.
- Content that identifies a real person, or that is reported as intimate imagery, is treated as urgent and reviewed ahead of the queue.
Every moderation decision is written to an internal audit log with the moderator, the action and the timestamp. That log is how we can show these timelines are actually being met.
Faster route: the report button
For most problems, the in-app report button is quicker than email. Reporting is anonymous to the author, and once a small number of separate people report the same post it is hidden from the feed automatically while a human reviews it. Hidden content stays out of public view until a moderator restores it.
If you are unhappy with the outcome
Reply to the officer's decision email and tell us why — we will look again. You also retain every right you have under Indian law, including approaching the Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under the IT Rules, 2021.
