Went to a rooftop club in Koregaon Park with my college friend last night. Neither of us drinks alcohol; we paid stag entry purely for the live electronic music set and good food. We managed to grab a cozy two-seater high table right near the air ventilation. Just as we placed our sliders order, two girls approached looking for a spot, so we politely pointed out an open table beside us. An hour later, while eating, someone taps my shoulder. I turn around and find one of the girls leaning in uncomfortably close. Before I could process it, she grabbed the lapel of my jacket and whispered frantically into my ear that an older man was creeping her out on the dance floor. I scanned the floor in the direction she pointed, but saw nobody unusual. I offered to escort her back to her friend, but instead, she dragged a high stool over, signaled her companion to join, and squeezed all four of us around a tiny two-seater table. For the next two hours, she clung to my left forearm, rested her head against my shoulder, and kept lip-syncing retro tracks directly into my ear while her friend looked on helplessly. Every time she tried to lean in closer, I politely angled my face away. Past midnight, as the venue was emptying out, she started insisting that they come over to our flat to cook 3 AM Maggi. I smiled, declined with an excuse about early morning landlord visits, opened Rapido on my phone, and booked an auto for both of them. I waited outside on the pavement until their ride pulled up, verified the driver details, saw them safely seated, and waved them goodbye. Gentlemen: look out for vulnerable people around you on nights out, keep your boundaries firm, and always make sure everyone gets home in one piece.
